Wholesale & custom umbrella FAQ
Find answers about ordering, samples, customization and delivery. Model-specific quantities and packing details are confirmed with your quotation.
Ordering & MOQ
What is the minimum order for a custom umbrella?+
Stock umbrellas with no logo start at
24 pcs. Your logo printed on stock panels starts at
100 pcs. Full-canopy print starts at
300 pcs. Custom fabric colour starts at
3,000 pcs, and custom handle tooling at
10,000 pcs. The full chart is on
the customization page.
Does the unit price drop above the minimum?+
Yes. The minimum is the entry point, not the best price. Unit price steps down through the quantity bands — a 300 pc logo order still costs less per piece at 1,000. We quote the band you are actually ordering in, not the minimum.
Is the 100 pc logo minimum per design or per order?+
Per design and per print setup. A single logo across one model at 100 pcs qualifies; five different logos across five models do not add up to one setup. Confirm the split with your quote so there is no surprise later.
Do you sell to individuals, or only to businesses?+
We sell wholesale. That said, stock orders starts at 24 pcs, which is deliberately low enough for a small reseller to test a model before committing to a larger run.
Samples
Can I get a sample before a bulk order?+
Yes, and what you receive depends on the customization. At the stock orders and logo printing we send a stock umbrella in a near colour, printed, which confirms construction and print quality. At full-canopy printing we send a pre-production umbrella. At custom fabric colour we can only send a fabric swatch — see the next answer for why.
Can I get a full umbrella sample in my exact brand colour?+
Not below custom fabric colour, and for that option only as a fabric swatch. Fabric is dyed in full rolls and a dye lot has a minimum volume — one umbrella cannot justify opening a vat. That is a dye house constraint, not a policy choice. What we do instead: a near-colour stock umbrella so you can approve the frame, mechanism and print, plus a dyed fabric swatch so you can approve the colour. The two are confirmed separately, in writing, before production. It is not the same as holding the finished article, but nothing about the bulk order arrives as a surprise — which is the actual point of sampling.
How long does a sample take, and what does it cost?+
Sample fees, shipping costs and any credit toward a bulk order are confirmed in your quotation.
Can the swatch be used to approve construction and print?+
No, and we will not pretend otherwise. A swatch confirms colour only — not construction, not print placement, not hand feel. Those three are approved on the near-colour umbrella sample, which is why we send both rather than one.
Printing & artwork
Which print method will my artwork need?+
It depends on the quantity and the number of colours. Screen print suits bold, few-colour designs at higher volumes. Heat transfer handles photographic detail and gradients. Digital print works for short runs where plate cost would dominate. Full-canopy print covers the whole panel rather than a logo block.
Printing methods explained.
Do you provide artwork templates?+
Yes — a panel template per model, in AI and PDF, with the print area, bleed line and safe margin marked. The canopy is a curved surface, so a file built for a flat banner will land in the wrong place.
Request the templates.
How close can the print come to the edge?+
Keep text inside the safe margin marked on the template. Panels curve away near the tip and the hem, so anything closer distorts or disappears. Fine detail below roughly 0.3 mm line weight fills in during screen print.
Can I print a sports team or brand logo?+
Only with a licence. No sports marks, car marques or characters without documentation. If you hold the licence, send it and we will print. Without it, we decline the artwork — this protects you as much as us.
Materials & construction
How many ribs does a folding umbrella actually have?+
Compare the specifications for your selected model. We confirm the frame, canopy and packing details with the quotation.
What is the difference between 190T, 210T and 210D?+
Fabric codes describe aspects of the material specification. Compare the complete fibre, weave and coating specification, and request a sample or applicable test documentation for your intended use.
How many umbrellas fit in a 20ft container?+
Packing details and container loading are confirmed for your selected model, quantity and packaging in the quotation.
Why is the hard case minimum higher than the umbrella minimum?+
Standard packaging is confirmed by model. Branded sleeves, gift boxes and cases are quoted separately, with their own minimum quantities and lead times.
What fabric and frame options do you offer?+
Canopy in 190T or 210T polyester, 210D pongee, with black or silver coating where UV performance matters. Frames in fibreglass, aluminium or carbon fibre depending on the model and the wind rating you need. Handles range from stock plastic and EVA through wooden and leather-wrapped to full custom tooling.

Shipping & payment
How long does a bulk order take?+
We confirm sample preparation, production and transit times separately, based on your model, customization and delivery destination.
What are your shipping terms?+
FOB from our factory is standard, with container, air and courier options. DDP and door-to-door can be quoted on request. Tell us the destination country and we will include the right option in your quote.
What are your payment terms?+
T/T, with a deposit to start production and the balance before shipment. Terms for repeat orders can be discussed once a trading history exists.
Do you blind ship?+
Yes — carton marks, labels, packing list, invoice header and shipper details can all carry your branding instead of ours. The four specifics are listed on
the distributor page.
Quality & reports
What quality checks does an order go through?+
Three stages: incoming material inspection, in-production inspection, and AQL pre-shipment sampling against the approved sample. Opening function, rib count, print position, colour, water resistance and packing integrity are all checked, with photographs kept per order.
Our QC process.
What happens if the bulk order does not match the sample?+
Where bulk differs from the approved sample, that difference is ours to fix, not yours to absorb. This is the one line in our terms that is not negotiable. The remedy is agreed per case — replacement, refund or credit against the next order.
Can you provide test reports or compliance documents?+
Test reports are available on request. Which documents apply depends on your destination market and product category, so tell us where the goods are going and we will confirm exactly what we can support. We do not put certification badges on this site for documents we cannot produce.
Are you a factory or a trading company?+
We manufacture golf, straight and folding umbrellas in our own factory. Our team manages production, inspection and order shipment.
